Watched all the 7 Seasons of Workin' Moms on netflix with Season 6 being the one that resonated well with me. 

I understand the attempt of the writers to make it a well-rounded show, being able to touch on almost all facets of motherhood. But I just dont't understand why the Asian representation was butchered and it made it feel like Asian single mothers, particular of that Filipinos was just bad. 

At the end part of the final episode, the characters were asked about what personal attribute do they hope their kids would be able to get from them, and all of the characters except that of the Jenny, the Asian/Filipino representation didn't get to answer as if there can be nothing good out of her crazy character can be passed on to her daughter. 

I feel so bad about Jenny as a Filipino because I have never met a Filipino single mom that is like her, at least of on my circle of crazy millennial friends. 

Filipinos are among the selfless human beings one can ever meet that's why we are scattered all over the world, working our asses off to be able to send money back to the Philippines, to be able to support our families. 

I would like to write more and elaborate on my thoughts but brainfog is on me again and it's 2AM. So I better go to bed and try catch some sleep.

    Kisses from Filipinas. I'm actually thinking of what to watch on Netflix rn, but couldn't find something new that sparks my interest. I'm into thrillers, by the way. I haven't heard of Workin' Moms yet, is that even worth watching? I'll check it out. And totally agree with you, Filipino moms are some of the best moms in the world - strict but mostly very caring, like my mama. How timely I just read an essay that I wrote about my mom a decade ago for a school project. haha

It is already 4:21 AM and I am still wide awake. I woke up with sweat all over my neck, wanting to pee and can't get over the feeling of heat. Though the AC was in the blast, the electric fan is also blowing.  I decided to just get up and do stuff on my laptop, most of the things that I had held off within the day because I would rather just do tinkering and cleaning around the house instead of focusing on what I know are also important for me.  For the next months, the AC will be on blast mode for long hours and hours and as much I am feeling anxious as to where we will be taking the money from to pay for our monthly bills, I know that we will be alright. The skies had been dark like a storm is coming. It had been raining the whole night long and when I woke up that day, I had fears that Sir Jonathan can’t come to school anymore due to the heavy downpour. I opted not to ask for I may just get the dreaded response. I prepared for school.
