The End for a Brand New Start

Image
While it is clear that I will be ending my teaching 2-year stint with an unclear whereto just yet, I keep getting the same question of  Why? Why stop teaching?  Teaching will always be my passion. No doubt. The years I had spent with kids and co-teachers made me love teaching more. How I entered the academe may have been a lot easier compared to others however, leaving it appeared to be far more difficult. I am not turning my back to this advocacy. It is education that changed my life! I am where I am right now, I know what I know right now because I learned from my teachers in school. They may not have taught me everything but they let me acquire the skills to learn other things.  When my mentor told me that in making decisions, just ask one question, "What is the most important thing to you?"  That is a very easy question to answer for me. My family. My family is the most important thing for me. It is also my passion to share my blessings to them. To gi...

I Have Been

This is an Emo Post.  I’ve been alone for quite awhile now and I admit it gets pretty lonely sometimes. I’ve been trying to establish a routine, particularly in workouts and exercise but I still miss it! I’m still trying.  I’ve been cooking the same meals. I better revamp my weekly menu before we hit the grocery next week.  I’ve been wanting to write a letter of gratitude to some people, yet, I still can’t complete it. It’s as if, it’s already complete in my head. I’ve been missing the feeling of being in love. ---- Dami kong time mag-emo-emo. Badtrip! HELP!

New Project

Hello WordPress! This is my first time to seriously explore WP as I had taken responsibility of blogging about our new endeavor in school. Keplerettes had been chosen to test a certain program inside the classroom that involves the use of tablets and a local wireless software. I’m pretty much excited about it and how it would really accelerate the learning pace of my kids. The class we had chosen to use the tablets composed of non-readers promoted to third grade. As to how they were allowed to be promoted on to the next level is something we are still asking ourselves. But since their promotion had been accepted, what we can do right now is intervene and help them be ready hopefully for the next grade level. Technology had been proven to improve services and better the lives of human beings with its proper use and disposal. With that in mind, with an effective design and functionality, the programmers, funders and, us, teachers do hope that with the use of this program, we can a...

8:03PM . I told myself that I will complete all the 9 Lesson Plans today. But I was only able to complete 4 days of it. It should have been 5 but I had accidentally had overwritten the 4th with the 5th. I  should have clicked on Save As and not Save. Absent-minded me. The 20 LPs are due on Friday to be used by the candidates on training next month. Lucky them, we are here to make these for them. During our time, as the pioneer batch, we did everything on our own. LPs, visuals, and no one is there to give up tips on how to execute it since the supervisors lacked the experience. They were all from private sector before deciding to move to this NGO. I am not complaining. I am just saying that they are lucky ones. I am happy for them and for this organization as things are getting better and better in terms of workflow and workload. I jogged early this morning. I did two rounds on the oval today and 20 crunches. I hope to make that 50 tomorrow and 100 next time. Hurray to that! It'...

Sigh.

Random. 8:52PM Today is the 31st of March 2014. For some, today officially marks the last day of the school year and the  start of a month-long vacation.  I did not go to school today. I have pending SF5 defects in the entries that should have been taken care of today. But I chose not to go to school. I haven't made up my mind in taking MA units this opening of the school year.  I haven't made up my mind if I will transfer to my dream school for the continuation of my Masteral Studies or if  I should start looking for job opportunities elsewhere, in preparation for future employment after this fellowship.  Should I stay here or go somewhere else? I tried online dating. But I seem to freak out or would lose interest in the conversation whenever the topic goes to relationships or beyond friendship. What's wrong with me? I have been sleeping a lot lately. Or just wanna stay in bed, all day long.  I had been planning to jog but ...

1.13.2014 Randomthoughts

1.13.2014 8:45PM 1. Andaming papel. Pwedeng checkan nyo ang sarili nyo. 2. Bakit ganito?

2. May kahiya-hiyang nangyari sa school kanina. I saw the sign, kelangan ko na talagang mag-diet. #push 3. Darating na sila pinsan. Excited na ko kasi more gala, more fun. 4. PBO Party on the 22nd. Punta kayo ha. 5. Magaling na mag-english ang mga students ko. Thank you to Teacher Nikki. Ang galing nya kasi magturo. 6. 7. Papalitan ko na ang header. Soon 8. Darating din ang aking drinking buddy for vacation, for sure, may hello kitty na naman ako.. Hihi 9. Feeling ko, I'll be spending my summer days sa Pangasinan. 10. Malapit na ang Christmas Party sa school. Nakakatuwang isipin na sila mismong mga bat...

Memories of Burot

Image
Sembreak. We deserve a break! This is an almost a month late post. For Reinna and me, it had never been hard to decided where to go, what to eat and what to talk about. The decision to choose Burot Beach came with the following things for consideration: 1. Time - we both can't go away from our jobs for long, but we both know that we have to detach ourselves from it, even just for a day. 2. Budget -  we both have a change of job this year. 3. Beach - it just have to be a beach. 4. Safety - my friend is sort of a security freak and obsessed with rules, I remember, on our first trip, she asked if we have tent rules... Lol... With all these things in consideration, on November 1-2, 2013, our 2nd Getaway trip for the year happened. Off we go to Calatagan, Batangas via passenger van, cost is Php170/head. Instead of riding a tricycle going to the beach, we were able to negotitate with the driver of the same van to drive us all the way to the beach :D Entrance to the beac...

D.R.A.I.N.E.D.

Warning: This is a vent-out post.                 All negativity inside. Read at your own risk. I just got home from school. I go to school at exactly 5:30 AM, today I arrived home and it’s already 6:04 PM. Yesterday, I came home at around 7:30 PM. What’s happening to me? I feel so tired. I feel so alone. I feel so tired, even sleep and longer sleep won’t seem to ease the tiredness in me. I miss home. I truly miss the meaning of home. I miss my mama’s home-cooked meals, the chats over breakfast and dinner with my siblings. The endless asaran and the endless sermons from papa. It’s as if I am living in a faraway country that I can’t seem to be with them. I mean, enough time to be with them. I maybe with them on Sundays, but it had never been enough. I never thought that I will reach this point of weariness. That I would feel so drained and all I wanted is to cry and feel someone’s hug. This is one o...

One quarter down. Thank goodness I survived. Thank you to my family, for their continual support and prayers, to my friends everywhere and this blog.  1.        Never ever let those papers pile up unrecorded. 2.        Always be advanced in lesson planning 3.        Prepare extra worksheets/seatworks. 4.        Take care of oneself—physically and emotionally. 5.        Have songs, hand gestures and mnemonics incorporated in keypoints of the lesson. 6.        Journal daily events in the classroom. 7.        Never let those down moments linger. 8.        Smile. 9.        Be the influence. 10.    Start Mondays with a smile. End Fridays happily. 11.    Read. A lot. Read more. ...

What to Do. What to Do.

See you all.” Aba, gusto talagang magkaron ng Certificate of Perfect Attendance for August 2013. What to do. What to do… Nakabuo sila n...

Diary: Bumpin' on a Rainy Day

Image
I feel like it's my free time. I'm burdened with a lot of school admin work to do, a lot of forms to fill out and papers to check and what the heck, why am I doing this?! I should be blogging. Lol. I certainly need a break on the first day of the month. Hehe. Hello July! How was the first half of the year? 1. I'm still struggling with what classroom management style to apply to the kids. 2. I'm still having a hard time framing my lesson plans and making visual aids. But thanks to MS Publisher for making my life a bit easy in making posters and banners and lettering stuff. 3. I'm still trying to cope up with a lot of changes in my life. 4. I'm still having a hard time sleeping at night. 5. I'm still hopeful that everything will be alright. 6. I'm still praying every single day that Bee won't totally crash and leave me. I cant replace him yet. 7. I'm still working on creating a daily routine for myself. Good thing my cousins are around...
